Good Morning newsfeeed! I am getting off of facebook. For real. I am tired of feeling like my mind and soul are constantly under attack by mental and spiritual manipulation. It's all just become a jumble of loud and harsh noise and it's hard to hear my own thoughts if i spend any significant aount of time here... much less the Holy Spirit. This arena is no longer one where I have any confidence that we can make any tangible difference in the world, if it ever even was. The algorithm determines who we see, who sees us, who sees which posts and why... this AI knows the sins we struggle with and our habits better than most of us know ourselves. There was a time where it felt like a balanced microcosm of humanity that we could interact with on here. It mostly feels at this point like its both an echo chamber and a cage match, set up to either trigger us with extreme polarization, or else we are just preaching to the choir and patting each other on the back. My brother, Andrew, and his beautiful lady, Amy, are having their first little one! We had fun making some art at her shower yesterday... and I won a TACO basket, Wooo hoooo! I can’t wait to meet baby Abe and give him the same kiss on the bottom of his tiny foot that I have given each of my nieces and nephews the first time I hold them!

Words are power. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The term “conspiracy theorist” was created by the CIA propaganda machine in the wake of the assassination of John F Kennedy. It was designed to discredit and mock anyone who dared question the official narrative. It is a SPELL that was cast by those who seek to control humanity for their own gains. It has been used ever since for the same purpose. I will no longer lend this spell any credibility. I suggest you do the same. Everybody who gardens posts the pictures of the cute seedlings, the beautiful lush adult plants and the delicious fruits of the labor... maybe even the cool Instagram worthy, artsy pics of the dirty hands or muddy shoes... But here, let’s try a pic of the menial, very NON artsy, delicious, beautiful or glamorous parts of growing your own food sustainably. Like washing plastic plant tags off to reuse them instead of tossing them in the recycling and buying new ones. 😂 I have tried tongue depressors, aluminum, popsicle sticks and other inexpensive and “eco friendly” options. They all rot away or become unreadable before the season is even done. These things are mass produced ( and somewhat overpriced) plastic but they will LAST. And if you pull them at the end of the season and store them, they will last a LONG time. If the plants are ones you grow every year, you can write in sharpie and just reuse them as is.
